Long live live music

Every bulb is
a night in the garden.

Loading the season…

Don't see the show you're after? New nights go on sale all the time, and dates occasionally move — check SimpleTix for the current list.

Show nights are general seating — we've stopped taking table bookings for them. Coming with a crowd? Email us and we'll sort you out.

Food beside the stage before the music starts — Dough Bros flatbreads or Skaha Tacos, depending on the night.

Have a look around

Six and a half acres —
and a room to come inside to.

Private events & catering

Close the gate.
The garden is yours.

Two ways in. Book a catered buffet dinner for forty to a hundred and the room comes with it — or rent the space on its own and add platters or small bites on top. Everything comes out of our own kitchen.

Looking for live music? Those are ticketed public nights and a different thing entirely — the season is up here.

  • Staff dinners
  • Holiday parties
  • Celebrations of life
  • Fundraisers
  • AGMs
  • Speaker & gallery nights

The facility rental

$1,000

Already inside the catered dinner prices — that's why those are quoted per person. Charged on its own if you're renting the space and adding platters or small bites.

  • Exclusive use of the facility
  • The speaker system
  • Microphones — as many as you need
  • The projector, so you have sound and display
  • Every table and chair set up beforehand and taken down after
  • All the linens laundered afterwards

Route one

A catered dinner

Rental included

Buffet style, forty to a hundred guests, everything cooked here. The $1,000 rental is already inside the per-person price — one number covers the room and the meal. Three tiers on the same table; the food gets better as you climb.

1

Basic

$47/person

The entry point for a proper seated dinner, and the right call when the group eats much the same way.

Three salads, two sides, one entrée and house-baked bread.

2

Standard

$55/person

Our most-booked tier. A table of forty won't all want the same plate.

Everything in Basic plus a second entrée, so every guest has a real choice.

3

Banquet

market price

Milestones, anniversaries and the evenings you want people to remember.

Everything in Basic plus a premium entrée — butcher's roasted ribeye with bordelaise and horseradish, or wild-caught roasted salmon with lemon dill cream. Priced at market value on the day you book.

Add a dessert course to any tier — $10 a person, coffee and tea included.

Route two

Just the space

$1,000

The room, the sound, the projector and the set-up on their own — right for celebrations of life, meetings and gatherings where you mostly need somewhere good to be. No guest minimum. Then add as much or as little food as you want, on top of the rental.

Event Platters

from $50/platter

On top of the $1,000 rental

Open houses, receptions, AGMs and gentle gatherings.

Veggie, fruit and sandwich platters, dessert trays, and water, iced tea, lemonade or coffee stations. Order only what the room needs.

Small Bites

$25/person

On top of the $1,000 rental

Speaker nights, gallery openings and evenings that begin with a drink in hand.

Choose any five from the crostini, skewers, sliders and tarts. Canapés rather than a sit-down meal — nobody needs a knife and fork.

Private Event Agreement

This is the agreement we work from. Once a date is held we'll send you a copy to sign, filled in with your details.

Your event

  • On-site contact — Lalita or David will be here on the day.
  • Guest count — a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 100 for catered dinners. Renting the space on its own carries no minimum.
  • Menu selection — chosen from the current event catering menus.
  • Dietary needs — tell us the number of guests with allergies or restrictions and what they are, well ahead of the day.

Facility rental — $1,000

Covers exclusive use of the facility, the speaker system, microphones, the projector for sound and display, setting up and taking down every table and chair, and laundering all the linens afterwards.

It is already inside the per-person price of the three catered dinner tiers. If you're renting the space on its own, it's charged as $1,000 and any platters or small bites are added on top.

Deposit and payment

  • A security deposit of half the estimated food bill is due 21 days before the event to hold your date. It comes off the final total.
  • The balance is due at the close of the event. We take cash, debit, credit, and e-transfer to frogcitycafeowners@gmail.com.
  • We can't split cheques.

Cancellation

  • Cancel between 21 and 8 days before — half the deposit is refunded.
  • Cancel within 7 days — the deposit is not refunded.

Bar and alcohol

  • Run an open bar and we'll track it and add it to your final bill, or let guests pay as they go. You can also skip the bar entirely.
  • Wine by the glass and bottles from local wineries, local and macrobrewery beer, Bailey's and coffee, Caesars and mimosas. Current prices come with your quote.
  • We're licensed, so by law no alcohol may be brought onto or taken off the property without a special event permit obtained by you and agreed with us in advance.
  • Our staff may refuse service to anyone underage or who appears unable to tolerate more.

Food

  • All food is supplied and prepared by Frog City Cafe as contracted. Nothing may be brought in or taken away without our written approval first.
  • Cake from an outside licensed commercial bakery is welcome — there's a $2 per person cutting fee.

Parking

There's a large lot, plus marked spots along the driveway and room on Linden Avenue. Please don't block the neighbours' driveways.

All pricing is before GST and gratuities.
